How do you reduce risk during large-scale transformations?

We phase every engagement so the organization never absorbs more change than it can handle at once. Each phase has clear deliverables, exit criteria, and a decision point before the next phase begins. If something isn't working, we find out in week 3, not month 9. We've used this approach on national M&A integrations, regulatory programs, and multi-year technology builds.

How do you evaluate whether a new technology is worth adopting?

We don't push technology for its own sake. When a client asks us to evaluate AI, automation, or a new platform, we run it through three questions: Does it solve a problem the business already has? Can it be adopted without rebuilding everything around it? And will the people using it every day actually use it? If the answer isn't yes to all three, we recommend waiting.

What makes IDS different from larger consulting firms?

Two things. First, the person you meet is the person who does the work. We don't sell with senior partners and staff with juniors. Second, we don't leave after the strategy phase. Our engagements run from assessment through execution to handover. We stay until the transformation is operating, not until the slide deck is delivered.
